Bemm River Boys Trip 2024! 18-21st April!
The Real McCoy Fishing Team headed down to Bemm River for our Annual Bemm River Boys Trip! An awesome turn out this year with 34 guys joining for the weekend!
The comp met Thursday night at the pub and received their brand new Real McCoy Fishing Shirts, Hats and stubby holders keen to wet lines when the comp started Friday Morning!
The first morning fished well before the rains hit which made it hard especially if you didn’t have a cover on your boat! Some really nice bream coming in caught in the shallows, plenty of Tailor on the trawl and the surf fished well between the Entrance Beach and Binn Beach for some quality salmon being caught!
The Bemm River Mens Shed outdone themselves putting on a superb meal of local Venison! Thanks again guys, a great night was had!
Saturday the weather picked up with a cracking sunny day where most spent out on the lake trying to snag a Bream to win the comp!
Afternoon saw a big crew hit the entrance beach for a run at the incoming tide and to see if they could rip into a few salmon. Slow fishing but some excellent fish weighed in with the biggest landed at 67cm!!
Saturday night was the final weigh in at the pub with presentations for our weekend competition!
Well done to everyone for getting around the Raffle / Auction where all proceeds went to the Bemm River Angling Club, where we managed to raise $670.
Big thank you to Aussie Disposals / Australian Fishing Network / Bait Tackle Direct for all the prizes.
We also had a number of generous members who donated $370 that will go towards the Olivia Newton John Cancer Center.
